Soma Comics is a creator owned digital publishing platform. Soma Comics was a dream I had for years which finally became a reality during the summer of 2022. The site started off with my own comic, Grooms of the Underworld, and eventually expanded to publish other awesome comics. I wholeheartedly believe that creators should stop relying on comic companies when it comes to dealing with the business of digital publishing, and instead consider publishing and marketing their work themselves.

What makes Soma Comics unique?
As a customer, you are free to browse through a variety of comics at your own discretion and purchase individual “episodes” (or parts) of comics with our website’s currency—called coins. You can purchase as many coins as you want with real currency, and your coins and unlocked episodes will never expire, so there’s no rush to read or purchase, and you can come back to Soma any time you wish. This way you can continue with any comic at your own pace as they update.
What makes Soma Comics different from platforms such as Webtoon, Tappytoon, Lezhin, is that we’re a publisher that’s creator owned. We’re not a large corporation that gives creators a tiny percentage of their sales—instead, we give our creators a majority of their profit. We also allow our readers the opportunity to gain free coins through occasional social media posts and try to foster a more personal connection with our readers. Unlike other comic reading platforms, when it comes to customer service, we strive to do our best and we like to hear what our audience thinks.
